I’m BAAAAAAAAACCCCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!!! First off let me start by saying… HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! We have finally made it to 2022. I don’t know about you but after how crazy the past two years have been I needed a break from everything. But now that I am recharged and energized, I am professing this year to be my greatest year yet; in spite of Omicron, inflation and everything else thrown at us, I plan to make 2022 great and be great! Just putting it in the atmosphere…
Speaking of which, I believe that it’s time that more people began to vocally profess good things to happen in their lives. The Bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue so imagine my surprise when I started seeing quite a few people on various social media outlets say that “manifesting is the new ‘name it and claim it’, which neither one is based in Christian principles”.
Now I know there are plenty of people in this “woke” generation that try, with every trick in the book, to dispel, debunk, and discredit the Word of God at every opportunity imaginable. But what’s sad is that if you don’t know the Word of God for yourself, you will fall for the tricks of the enemy because they use the very mechanism that is most accessible to the masses… social media. It’s the reels, the live streams, the tiktok’s etc. that pull people in and without warning they have been led to believe a lie.
Honestly, when I first saw the tiktok, it made me pause for minute and think… Is manifesting non-Christian?… But immediately when I did, I heard the voice of the Lord say “Aht aht!!!!” (Now I don’t know about you but, the voice of the Lord comes to me and sounds like one of my close girlfriends that is about to tell me all the latest “news” floating around in the wind, so bare with me.) And then I delved deeper into, what exactly is manifestation?
I’m sure you’ve heard in recent times, people say “I’m manifesting a new job” or “you should set intentions so you can manifest…” Manifestation is process. A process, which includes setting goals or writing out intentions, that a person focuses on in order to produce a specific desired outcome. Kind of like when the Lord tells Habakkuk to “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.”

Manifestation begins first with the end goal in mind. How do you want your life to look? What do you ultimately want to accomplish? Having an idea of how you want things to unfold in your life prepares you for what you need to do in order to see those things through. The next step is setting your intentions, what are you going to do differently to achieve the end goal? Some chose to write them down in a journal or keep them stored electronically on their phone. Either way you choose to do it, you are envisioning what you want to happen in your life and setting intentional steps to see it through or in other words… writing down the vision and making it plain.
The Bible also says in Job that “thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Meaning that whatever you desire, declare it in the atmosphere and it will manifest for you; in due time of course. I believe it has something to do with hearing it out loud (so then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:17) and your mind being able to envision you achieving it, which is the third step in manifesting, and therefore you being able to have faith and believing, the final step in manifesting, that you will receive what you imagine you can. One of my favorite scriptures, Mark 11:24, says, “Therefore I say unto you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

So you see, manifesting is based in Christianity. As a matter of fact a lot of the things we do nowadays, whether it’s manifesting, employing the law of attraction, creating a vision board, etc. to create a better more holistic life for ourselves has root in Christianity. There are plenty of Bible verses to substantiate that claim; and as you can see, I have listed a few. Just because it doesn’t explicitly say in the Bible “manifestation is good and you should do it” doesn’t mean it’s not implied. Every verse in the Bible, with the exception of the commandments (because those are pretty clear), have various interpretations depending on the reader, their knowledge of God and His Word, and where they are in their Christian journey. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have read a passage of scripture over and over again and got a different revelation each time depending on where I am in my walk with Christ. This is one reason why we say the Bible is alive and still relevant today.
I think it’s fine time for the “woke” community and Christians to sit down and really dive deep into the issues that keep us divided. I believe once we do, we will see that there really aren’t that many differences at all; you just have to be open to listening and understanding and lead with love… “and now these three things remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
Love ya, and I mean it!!
